| Building on the success of the previous ASPAC in 1986 and World Congress in 1996, we wish to participate in the promotion and advancement of JCI by hosting the 2008 ASPAC in Busan, Korea. Korea is internationally recognized as an excellent conference destination, hosting over 300 international events and conferences every year. It is a major gateway to Asia and offers easy access to countless places in the Pacific region, with over 600 direct or non-stop international flights every week. Busan is an excellent conference site with an international airport and modern conference centers. The Korean government and the metropolitan city of Busan are expected to provide subsidiary support for the 2008 ASPAC. Should we have the honor of hosting the event, you can be assured that every effort will be made to make this conference a memorable academic event for all the participants of JCI. We believe that Busan, Korea is a proper and excellent place to provide the 2008 ASPAC with the remarkable security and peaceful environment that can contribute to a highly successful event. More importantly, delegates can enjoy the scenic splendor, history, and hospitality of Busan and all of Korea.
